Welcome to Week Three of your Class of the Week article. This week we are proud to announce that Mr. Schramka’s Third Hour Religion 1 class has taken home the crown. This is a freshman only class, and is the first class of the week award for Mr. Schramka and the entire freshman class. This class offers an introduction to the religion courses here at Dominican, and gives freshman a strong faith foundation. We believe that this class is full of energy as all of Mr. Schramka’s classes always are. In addition, Mr. Schramka is a great teacher and is always prepared to help his students if they need any assistance during the class. Each day, he takes his class through daily prayer, reading scripture, and scripture studies. When we talked to Mr. Schramka following the announcement of the Class of the Week, we asked him why he believes this class deserves the award. He talked about how thankful he was for the freshman being able to put up with him before lunch, and even stated, “They are very hungry, but they stay focused during the lesson plans.” Mr. Schramka said the main thing he wants his students to take from this class is respecting one another because it is extremely important in school and throughout life. Another lifelong quote Mr. Schramka always follows is, “Whatever you do in life, do it to the best of your abilities.” He told us a story about when he went back for his masters degree. His professor told him that when you put your name on a homework assignment or project, you should make sure it is your best work. Congratulations to Mr. Schramka’ s freshman class once again, and make sure to check back next week for another addition of the Class of the Week.
