Student of the Week

Student of the Week: Alex Antetokounmpo

This week Junior Alex Antetokounmpo will be interviewed, as he was selected as the student of the week this week. Since the start of freshman year, he has been most known for playing basketball.  He loves the sport and it is what he is looking forward to pursuing it in the near future.  He was also selected for being very caring to everyone in the Dominican community, and he is academically dedicated.  Alex is a very good student and has really proven to his teachers that he is trying hard to achieve his honor roll position. Interviewed by one of his close friends, this is how Alex responded.

  1. What has been your favorite part of your Junior year so far?

Night walk, because it brings everyone closer together.

  1. Which class has been the most challenging for you?

Spec Fic, because I do not enjoy reading.

  1. What is your favorite sport?

Basketball, because it makes me very happy.

  1. Do you have a favorite teacher?

Ms. Gill, because she is a very nice teacher.

  1. How have you been able to keep up with all your homework and games?

I manage my time properly, I do what I can during school and then I also go to practices and practice when I can.

  1. What differentiates the Dominican community from all others?

Since Dominican is such a small school we get to become closer and grow together.

  1. If you could change one thing about Dominican what would it be?

Dress code, because we are not able to express our full personality with our dress code.

  1. How many sports do you play?

I play one sport, and that sport is basketball.

  1. What college do you want to attend?


  1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Mexico, because I have a lot of friends that are from Mexico.
