Kanye and the Ugandan President

Written by Christine Gill

A few days ago, Kanye West went to Uganda, Africa to talk to the president of Uganda and to help the kids there. He went there for multiple reasons, and one of them was to record for his new album. While he was there, he went to a Ugandan school and handed out Yeezys to all the students. He then went to an orphanage for children and handed out shoes to all of them. After that, he and his family got to meet the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. They talked about problems in Uganda and how to solve them. The Ugandan president appreciated Kanye’s words and gave him the name Kanyesigye, and it means “I trust”.
