Welcome back to the Class of the Week article of your Dominican Knightly News. This is the 6th edition of this article, and this week’s award goes to Mr. Mueller’s third hour U.S. History class. This is his first class of the week award of the year, and at this rate, Mr. Mueller could win numerous times this year. Currently in U.S. History, they are studying the rise of Sectionalism in the U.S. after the 1820s.
We were provided the great opportunity of talking to Mr. Mueller after informing him that he had been selected for the award. He stated, “My third hour U.S. History class deserves to be the class of the week because they’re the best darn sophomores in the history of Dominican High School. They also are doing excellent work in class.”. Mr. Mueller is very grateful for his class, and it is clear that he enjoys teaching. When we asked him why he likes history, he responded, “I have always had a love for history since I started going to school, so it just followed that I should teach it someday. History really does give you a perspective on what’s happening in the world today. A person who knows their history has a better perspective on life and events that happen in the present.”. Congratulations once again to Mr. Mueller and the third hour U.S. History class on the award, and make sure to check back next week for another edition of Class of the Week.
