Genaviv Alcantara is a seventeen-year-old young girl who recently discovered her love for makeup. She has always had an interest for makeup ever since she was young. Only a few years ago makeup became a true passion to her. When she first started wearing makeup she struggled a bit. But after some YouTube videos by makeup artists her skills soon improved.
Q: When did you first start wearing makeup?
A; When I was little I loved playing with kids makeup but it wasn’t until freshman year that I started to… and trust me it was BAD.
Q: What was the first thing that you learned to use?
A: Foundation. I started with tinted moisturizer and it took me a lot of practice not going to lie.
Q:What/who inspired you to start doing makeup?
A: Paloma Romo. . How a matter of minutes can completely change a look.
Q: Did you start off by wearing high end or drugstore makeup?
A: Drugstore but when that didn’t work out after like a week I gave and went to Sephora 😂
Q:Who taught you to do makeup?
A: A variety of MUA youtubers like Laura Lee and James Charles

Q: What skin type do you have and what do you use for it?
A: Normal to dry & nothing . My genes help a ton but I take Hair, Skin and Nail gummies with collagen and I use the moisturizer (listed above) for my dry spots that tend to come up on my high check bones
Q: What is one tip you would give people who are just starting out?
A: Practice makes perfect!!! Don’t give up. At first it might look crusty but it only gets better with practice.
Q: What is your most favorite part of doing makeup?
A: At the end when you get to the highlight and it’s like the icing on the cake and is the perfect finishing touch
Q: To you what is the purpose of makeup?
A: Self expression and using these techniques to enhance one’s natural beauty.
