Famous Houston rapper Trae tha Truth’s career began in the early 2000’s with a guest appearance on Z-Ro’s original album and being a part of the rap group Guerilla Maab. He began to drop solo albums quickly after that in 2003, 2004, 2006. These albums established him as a lyricist who focuses on the streets he was born and raised in rather than the wealth he now was. He continued to drop mixtapes and in 2007 dropped “Life Goes On” featuring Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and Slim Thug. He is even well more known due to his actions during Hurricane Harvey. In his song “What About Us” he writes about being originally being rescued from his own home after being trapped in the storm and once getting out he bought a boat and began to go around the city saving as many lives as possible. There is even a “Trae tha Truth day” which has been around for over 10 years due to his humanitarian work throughout the city.
