Dominican High School has just announced that senior 2019 graduation will be extended through the school year. Given all the snow days, the Whitefish Bay schools predicted that this would happen due to the numerous closings that have occurred. The date for the new graduation date has just been revealed a week later than the previous date, May 24th.
The news came leaked through the administration offices and onto social media. Christine Gill brought the issue up in a Facebook post:
I know I should not be the one to tell the news. I am so sorry seniors; graduation has been extended to a week after the given date. We will not be considering any other date. Mr. Foy made it very apparent at the staff meeting that there will be not a possibility of reconsideration.
Dominican High School has confirmed that this was true and has prepared a meeting for seniors to share the news. Exam week at Dominican will be moved for a date to be determined. Edward Foy, the principal, has put a statement together addressing the concerns, but the Knightly News has not made it available to the public.
